Temba is our modern inspired collection of transferware. Cream crackle porcelain is the background for the process of using a decal in color with the neutral background of ceramics. The process was originally done in England in the mid-18th century to transfer or copy from an engraved copper plate Chinese patterned designs which were popular at the time. Transferware was a way to bring the look of expensive hand-painted pottery and dinnerware to the middle class in England. Collectors around the world embrace the useful dinnerware, platters, and graphic pottery of transferware. Often transferware celebrates important buildings, pastoral scenes, animals, and flowers. Our collection marries modern shapes, floral motifs, and architectural details.
The Tuscan planter features scalloped curves cast into porcelain. The movement of the shape is fresh and bold. Accented with solid brass fluted feet, the 18" wide planter will hold multiple live plants or fresh flowers.
As part of their Madcap Cottage for PORT 68 collection, we love the contrast between the meadow green exterior of the center basin bowl and the summer crewel interior pattern inside. It's all in fun! The overall pattern name crewel summer is a joyful classic crewelwork needlepoint. Strawberries, lemons, and other botanicals come together into a timeless mix of colors that brings the garden indoors. Perfect on the counter, or on the sideboard used as a planter. So many uses which allow you to be adventurous in decorating the home.
Expressive, cheeky, slightly irreverent, and most of all--overall fun. This sums up the "word up collection" by Madcap Cottage for Port 68. Don't you sometimes need a housewarming or birthday gift for your bestie, or for that matter a little humor on that side table in the living room? Well---we have an assortment for you. Live a little..., Be bold, Don't settle... or be neutral unless you want to be that wallflower! We feel it is time to be a little like Auntie Mame and laugh a lot! Have some fun in your life is the Madcap mantra. Each plate is decorated with Madcap Cottage patterns and trims for that decorator's touch.

Decidedly a South Seas look, the Scalamandre pattern is rendered in exotic motifs of fruit, foliage, and peacocks with delicate batik-like details. Part of the Scalamandre' Maison by PORT 68 collection, the jars are made of porcelain with solid brass metal lift-off lids. Available in hues of pink, green, and turquoise/blueprints on cream white crackled porcelain.

Palampores or tree-of-life patterns have origins in India, where the exotic designs were hand-painted and mordant dyed--then exported to Europe and England for use as elaborate bed hangings and curtains. Scalamandre's timeless tree-of-life print, Pondicherry, is offered in rich blues on cream crackled porcelain for today's classic interior. The grand scale of the exotic tree is softened with finely detailed flowers and foliage and is accented with small birds and animals. This is typical of this historic and favored fabric design. The large lamp in the Scalamandre Maison for PORT 68 collection is accented with solid brass hardware with highlights of chocolate brown on the glazed porcelain. Blackwood cap. Acrylic round base. Round-aged brass finished metal finial.

The Japanese-inspired floral pattern edited from Siberian Tiger is playfully arranged on our Scalamandre' Maison by PORT 68 oval planter. Rich faded blue and white color tones are set off by the flowers motif which wraps around the planter and features solid brass feet. The planter holds water for fresh florals or plants. The dramatic pattern is from the Old World Weavers collection of velvet fabric with Scalamandre'.
