A two-door cabinet that features a thin profile for small spaces. A rectangular top rests over square posts that flank a pair of framed doors. The inside of the cabinet is 23" H and has two adjustable shelves.
This is a quality piece. It came assembled except for the shelves. The product description should reflect that but doesn't. Wood feels solid. The back may possibly be mdf but is a single piece that blends and shows no screws or nails. The blue seems more of an admiral blue-cross between navy and royal-vs. a true navy blue. It was well-packaged so I was surprised there was damage to the back right corner. I suspect this was a quality check issue before packaging as it was so well packed I can't see how it could have happened during shipping. The delivery service was excellent. Perigold customer service was excellent. I was able to reach customer service to determine if there was resolution to the damage or to not accept delivery. I kept the piece because it was going in a space where the damage wouldn't be noticed as long as I put decor to hide it. This combined with the resolution is why I accepted delivery. This piece was perfect. Well made and delivered early. I did order a sample of the finish because from the pictures I wasn’t sure it would work. It was a good thing because the actual finish was very different. It’s much darker and less marble looking, BUT perfect for me. Very stately, clean lines, and good storage in the draws.. Ann. The chest is a rectangle top that rests over squared corner posts flanking three individual drawers over an "X" base. Crafted from hardwood solids and cherry veneer.
This cabinet has a rectangular framed top in walnut and rests over squared corner posts that flank a pair of doors clad with faux shagreen and accented with brass moldings. The doors hide an adjustable shelf and are mounted with sturdy brass bar pulls. The case is elevated on tapering legs that are fitted with brass sockets.
Fabulous piece of furniture. It is well constructed…all solid wood. Inside door hinges are made of sturdy metal so when the chest is closed, the doors meet perfectly. Delivery went smoothly, on time. Set up and take away of packing for the white glove service was definitely worth the extra charge. If you can ever manager, it would be nice to know that all the packing materials, or at least some of them, would be recycled instead of just trashed. I kept what I thought I could reuse and recycle myself. It is beautiful. It fits our space perfectly and gives me much-needed extra storage. I do love it. After living with it over the weekend, I have these comments: 1. There is a definite odor of offgassing. Not unpleasant, but definitely there. 2. The surface is fragile. At this price, I would’ve expected a much sturdier finish. I’m going to have to order a glass top, which will be a bit more complicated due to the curved shape of the chest. 3. Either I didn’t notice when I did the initial inspection after delivery or I managed to chip one of the drawers while I was putting things away. I was able to repair the chip with some of my paints. But for barely being used the surface should not have chipped! 4. Nowhere in the description did it say that the drawers did not extend fully. This isn’t a dealbreaker, just a surprise that makes using the chest slightly annoying. Not a dealbreaker in anyway. This should’ve been told in the description. Or perhaps it was and I missed this information on the website. Overall I am very happy with it. It is a beautiful piece. The curves are lovely, the drawer poles are great. It’s a sweet, sweet piece and I’m happy I found it. If these reviews are to be worth anything for furtive Perigold customers, I did want to be truthful on the upside, and the not-so-up-side.. Debra.
