New Wave is composed of two parallel rectangular wood panels, one set inside the other, creating sinuous, natural curves that produce an effect of solidity and achieve a light elegant structural balance. Moreover, the inside/outside contrast is enhanced by the different colors of the inner/outer veneers, thus adding a new range of nuances and possibilities to the LZF catalog.

Designed by Ray Power, this pendant light is an accomplished pendant, its form thoughtfully considered and sculptured. Powers' designs are typically based on geometry and his predilection for creating three-dimensional forms from flat materials (wood veneer). This pendant light is no exception, its precise contours are brought to life in stereo. With a soulful character and presence, the pendant light will vibe well with any interior. When light is striking from every angle, one might expect more than a hint of conceit. And yet pendant light is wholly modest, its beauty inspiring and up lighting. The pendant light was accorded a Special Mention by the German Design Council.
The Free-flowing Light: Graceful and stylistically innovative, the New Wave pendant is well-formed, effortless, and free-flowing. Designed by Ray Power, the New Wave’s lines bend and curve, accentuating its shapely form. New Wave comprises two interlocking interior and exterior wood veneer panels. Differing in color from the exterior panel, the interior panel’s edge juts out, creating a clever design feature that enhances the New Wave’s profile. The resulting composition is well-proportioned and fluid, giving the New Wave a smooth, free-flowing countenance.
