I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this lamp - it seems to be real brass, not that cheap looking “brass finish” that everything seems to have these days. It is a beautiful genuine brass color and already has a slight patina that I think will age beautifully. I tried to capture the finish in the photos. The assembly was quick but really sturdy. It’s a really beautiful, high quality, well made lamp and I’m so glad I didn’t settle for a cheaper one which I almost did. This was definitely worth the price.. Lauren. Disappointed. I ordered two of these lamps, one arrived damaged (looked like a poorly repacked return). The replacement lamp arrived with some minor scratching. As one previous reviewer mentioned, the brass is pretty orange, but looks better lighted. Adjustable height is a bit difficult to maneuver.
