I got the darker wood color and I absolutely love it! Its a classic table with a modern tapered leg which is perfect for my smallish dining area but is still a very substantial table when in use. The delivery guys dropped this HUGE package off at street level, not dropping it off with their dolly at out front door (we have an elliptical driveway going up slightly to our door, they could have driven up and dropped it off at the door). Instead, they blocked our garage with this massive package and we ended up carrying it up a level ourselves with no dolly. Seriously lazy. This table is GORGEOUS. I have included photos of my table extended with one leaf. I am able to slide 4 side chairs under the table on each side which allows you to see a lot of the table top and corner legs. The small detail above each table leg where it meets the table top is a nice modern detail, and the grainy-like wood pattern on the table top creates some character. I looked at over 1000 dining room tables and am glad I purchased this one. The gold trim at the bottom of each leg is attractive, and although I don't like decorating with gold, the gold color is subtle enough that it doesn't detract from the room. The table arrived in excellent condition. Place the table top upside down to attach the 4 legs - this is an easy job of one person. Two people will need to lift the table to upright it.
