In the latest capsule collection, Annie's friend and collaborator Bunny Williams was inspired by the unique geometric Kuba weaving of central Africa. The sacred Kuba designs are mathematical and rhythmic in vegetable-dyed earth tones and evolved from a number of techniques featuring flat weaving and cut pile, with patchwork, embroidery, and appliqué. The Cassia dhurrie weave rug has a balanced block motif woven onto alternating rectangles. Hard-working jute fiber is sophisticated and practical, especially for high-traffic areas.
Foundational geometric rik-rack lines encapsulate atmospheric tonal hues that are interpreted through a unique sense of color to create a presence in a room without overpowering it. Each colorway evokes the everchanging reflection of light on the ocean, as the colors shift according to season, and time of day. Kilim flatwoven wool rugs, inspired by the hand-knotted fishing nets flung over the sides of boats in the harbors of Barbados, were designed by Kit Kemp, co-owner and Creative Director of Firmdale Hotels, in collaboration with Annie Selke.

This rug was crafted entirely by hand from the finest New Zealand wool for softness in a contemporary design that makes a bold statement and a sophisticated color palette.
Rug was a little pricey but worth every dollar and the long wait! I expected background to be lighter (beige/cream) offering more contrast to the mustard, but instead it was more like a light tan. I ordered the rug and they charged my credit card on January 20. I did not receive the rug until March 22. I had to call to follow up. I was told my order had been sent elsewhere.
