Tempting touch. The perfect mix of the decadence of and the madness of Dali. Crafty, couture, and exotic, this is the wall art that reminds your guests they're in the presence of an eccentric glamourpuss. We collaborated with an artisanal workshop in India where a master beader imbued our clean graphic designs with craftsmanship and soul. Each artwork is hand-beaded on linen ground and takes nearly 100 hours to create. Beads of varying heights and patterns within patterns create a sense of depth and dimension. The result is part pop art, part textile triumph.

Jess has been painting with watercolors and oils on large canvases, small scraps of paper, and everything in between for as long as she can remember. She went to Savannah College of Art and Design, never thinking that one day she would “actually” become an artist. That took a bit longer to realize. But here she is, living the dream. Jess's mission is simple: to make beautiful work that makes people feel extraordinary. Her aesthetic is influenced by her African upbringing - using simple lines, rich colors, and organic shapes to capture life in every form. She believes the process is just as important as the outcome, when she's in a flow and she enjoys the process the work feels fresh, effortless, and alive. After she conceives a new idea she tries to spend some quality time with it - to let it sink in. Then usually the work comes out very quickly. If it doesn’t, she never forces it, she just goes outside for a bit, clears her head, and comes back later. It’s amazing what fresh air can do for perspective.

The artist, Richard Ryder, developed an affinity towards art at an early age where he took every opportunity to incorporate art into his assignments. During his early years, while attending elementary school, he would doodle on the blank side of envelopes or any discarded paper. This drove his passion to pursue taking studio art courses while in high school and continued that pursuit through to four-year formal art education. As an artist that is heavily influenced by graphic design, art deco, and traditional animation, Richard aims to capture the beauty in whichever subject he is painting. He focuses on ways to exploit the basic elements of art to create a satisfying and cohesive design. As an artist, Richard seeks to improve and challenge himself. He states that “With the internet, I am constantly inspired by art either in the fine art or commercial field. It is this exposure that leads me to constantly explore different mediums and styles".

There are few creatures in nature with such strong symbolic and emotional connotations as the snake. Since time immemorial the snake has represented our fears and fantasies and our fascination with the unknown and mysterious. With its sinuous, undulating lines and its penetrating, magnetic gaze, this snake is both captivating and unsettling. Exquisitely modeled down to the tiniest detail, the white porcelain underscores the particular texture of its skin, in this decoration contrasting with the copper luster of the details, also used to highlight its eyes.

This wall piece is part of the serpent series, wich is inspired by one of the oldest symbols used by many ancestral cultures around the world. The snake has represented for centuries the transmission of knowledge, the opposing forces; order - chaos and fertility. It was used also as a symbol of the creator gods of humanity.

Such a unique and interesting piece! I would love if the frame was slightly more in the "champagne" family, but it's stunning anyhow!. Beth. Brentwood, TN. 2024-02-02 20:03:21
