The figurine itself is lovely. However, it came without the signature Maitland Smith label of authenticity. I've tried to reach out to Perigold to ask about this but there's been no response. We don’t monkey around when it comes to whimsical design. A case in point is our accent table with its seated ape, molded-in cast aluminum, that lifts its tabletop with little effort. The antique gold finish that covers the piece makes the gold occasional table read as if it has aged. Creases molded into the top also support the effect that this is a vintage piece.
