Inspired by a trading blanket, the Taos rug combines ancient Soumak and Peshawar knotting techniques to create a modern expression of an exotic design. A blend of 65% high-quality wool and 35% natural cotton is dyed to create the striking Black Palms colorway. The texture is heightened by using 50 to 60 knots per square inch and combining a raised cut pile Peshawar weave motif with the flatweave ground of Soumak hand-knotting.
