"Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, Ginko trees, and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the light-colored pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow jar rectangle-shaped lamp with a rectangle lucite base. Accented with aged brass hardware and crystal ball finial.

Oh, Pagoda is the wonderfully whimsical fixture that is inspired by an antique chandelier that hangs in the 'house of bedlam', which is Madcap Cottage's manse in High Point, North Carolina.

After a weekend in Southampton, the Madcap's Jason and John were inspired by the local lake with its glorious flora lily pad flowers. John dashed to paint his version of the picturesque weekend. The pattern Lake Agawam is his interpretation. We hope you love the colorful lamp that celebrates this pattern. Strong saturated colors on porcelain accent the lamp with a hexagon-shaped lucite base. Georgia is our blue and white shaped temple jar in a modern floral pattern. It is accented with polished nickel hardware and a round lucite base. Includes a raised polished nickel ball finial. Pattern wraps around the temple jar.

Hannah is our modern, yet casual interpretation of a Chinese export pattern that is on a saucer plate made about 1740. The original resides in the Colonial Williamsburg archives. Archaeological fragments decorated with the same aster pattern and bearing similar fluting were excavated at the Geddy House site in Williamsburg, Virginia. The blue asters and cream ground porcelain lamp is part of the Williamsburg collection for Port 68. The graphic blue aster pattern is decorated on the front and back, with cream/white side panels on the shaped lamp body. The lamp is mounted on a black base with aged brass ball feet. The lamp is accented with aged brass hardware and ball finial.

Beautiful table lamp. I purchased two cream colored. The second lamp had black speckles, so I've requested a replacement. The speckles were very small , but my OCD won't allow me to look past the blemishes. The lighting is warm, not bright and the lamps pair perfectly with my Gracie panel.. MFP.
