The round bud vase is a classic porcelain shape. The vase is scaled for your bookshelves, mantles, and wall shelves. We love to show them in pairs on the mantle. Formal and balanced for a punch of color. Add a seasonal floral branch for a personal touch. Another suggestion is to add an acrylic round stand to the vase to add height and a decorative touch.
The colorful adaptation of a classic Indian chintz resembles linen printed fabric with exotic flowers and fauna. Catherine of Braganza, queen of King Charles II of England, brought Portuguese trade routes to the British East India Company, spurring fascination with such Asian goods and fabrics.
"Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, Ginko trees, and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the light-colored pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow jar rectangle-shaped lamp with a rectangle lucite base. Accented with aged brass hardware and crystal ball finial.
It's beautiful.. Bradley. STANFORDVILLE, NY. 2023-03-16 16:30:07
Chinoise Exotique is inspired by Scalamandre's iconic wallpaper and fabric pattern. A charming tableau of stylized blossoms, vines, figures, and animals. Classic square gourd shape porcelain lamp is accented with a square Lucite base. Crystal ball finial. Brass hardware.
The timeless painterly quality comes to life in a pattern that calls to mind an animal print. Originally painted by Madcap Cottage designer John Loecke, Mill Reef is one of our favorite patterns. Under the Madcap Cottage for PORT 68 collection, the Mill Reef lamp is a design classic. Scaled in a double gourd shape, this porcelain lamp works well next to the sofa, end table, or buffet. Available in indigo and green with white accents. The lamp will ship with our classic off-white hardback shade (as shown), but the Madcap gents suggest mixing it up with one of their patterned shades from their collection. We have also shown the lamp with Daffodil Isleboro Eve hardback shade. The sun porch in the Madcap's House of Bedlam is shown with a pair of lamps with the ever-so-happy, Daffodil Isleboro Eve shades. As the gents would say - "Bring the adventure home". Aged brass finished metal hardware. Metal ball finial.
To begin, it is a cute lamp, no doubt. But the colors depicted in the website's introductory photo is more grass and apple green than the lamp actually is. The greens are actually more olive, so less "madcap." The strokes of green appear more painted on top than fired within the glass. Finally, the lamp is much bigger than you think. In the website photos, it appears more squat and cute, but in reality it has the proportions of a midmod lamp. The picture is of the lamp next to a 70' tv.. Will-O-B. We love the simple sophistication of the Portobello buffet. The cast metal tripod buffet lamp features hand-wrapped brown faux leather with contrast topstitched trim. Finished in bright gold leaf. Metal ball finial.
These lamps are just right for the dining area. The leather is a reddish brown.. Marie Rose. PA. 2021-04-21 14:43:58

We love the casual birdcage-shaped bamboo garden lamp. The lamp is scaled for bedside or console tables.
Megan is our transitional modern lamp of metal and stone. A circular aged brass finished metal ring is mounted on the rectangular marble base and complimented with an oval hardback shade. Metal ball final.
Love these lamps but the shade color is very yellow! I’m going to try to find a replacement shade.. Rebecca. Parkland, FL. 2024-08-06 15:04:21
After a weekend in Southampton, the Madcap's Jason and John were inspired by the local lake with its glorious flora lily pad flowers. John dashed to paint his version of the picturesque weekend. The pattern Lake Agawam is his interpretation. We hope you love the colorful lamp that celebrates this pattern. Strong saturated colors on porcelain accent the lamp with a hexagon-shaped lucite base. Brass hardware. Metal ball finial.
