A classic armchair that reproduced the opulent features of rococo armchairs, leather covered with Wood glass holder plate. Wood feet with brass wheels on the front.
Jean-Marie Massaud adds a surplus of softness to the Archibald collection: the Archibald Gran Comfort armchair. The central element is the large, soft seat cushion. A luxurious leather casing with rich goose-down padding creates a refined contrast with the minimal architectural cut of the steel frame that houses it. Made from beech, the seat of the Archibald Gran Comfort armchair has springs consisting of elastic belts. These return, as an additional source of comfort, along the perimeter of the steel-framed backrest. The seat and backrest padding, in the quilted goose-down baffle, makes the armchair even softer. The removable upholstery is in Pelle Frau® Safari leather. The trim around the edge of the upholstery is embellished with hand-painted raw cut leather and finished with tone-on-tone or contrast stitching. The steel base and feet have a Ruthenium finish. Ultra-thin and light, the feet almost seem to be sketched by pencil. The soft Archibald Gran Comfort pouf is the natural complement to the armchair.
A most wonderful chair. Meredith. US. 2023-11-13 16:43:11
The Archibald by Jean-Marie Massaud is the perfect combination of substance and form, the armchairs and poufs boasting a comfortable and enveloping design ideal for meditation and relaxation. The breadth and depth of the seat are balanced by its thin feet for an agile and slender overall effect. In the Archibald armchair the leather upholstery, pleasantly wavy thanks to a series of vertical folds, is embellished along the edges and external surfaces by contrast stitching, giving it an extra touch of refined elegance. The backrest and seat structure are made from steel with molded polyurethane foam padding and shaped foam with polyester wadding in the areas where more comfort is required. The spring system consists of elastic belts. The base comprises four cast aluminum feet and a tubular steel frame with a gunmetal gray finish.
The Montera series designed by Roberto Lazzeroni has a formal lightness that expresses the sensory charm of its materials: the raw cut processing exalts the tactility of the saddle leather and leather which, combined, complement each other perfectly; the light stitching on the backrest forms a smile.
The Isadora chair is inspired by the grace of Isadora Duncan, a pioneer of contemporary dance. Created by Roberto Lazzeroni, its original design is shaped by the seamless combination of wood and saddle leather. The Isadora chair has a solid wood structure. Nevertheless, it traces a sinuous and agile profile thanks to the expert work on its thicknesses. The saddle-leather upholstery totally envelops it and almost appears to fly. Skillful tailored stitching and cuts give it the appearance of a light dress. The sensation is airy yet solid and is the result of expert craftsmanship which, by subtraction, reduces the materials to the bare essentials and exalts our pure beauty. The Isadora chair project offers a highly modern interpretation of the forms of the past. The upholstery is in clean-cut Cuoio Saddle Extra leather, refined with protective dye and wax and underlined by contrast or tone-on-tone stitching.
Wow what a beautiful chair. It looks amazing in any room. I highly recommend!!!!. Eric. Miami, FL. 2024-01-06 08:34:14
Simple and precise lines for a seat with a compact and light design. An armchair with Ash feet in a wengè stain., Saddle Extra and Pelle Frau SC upholstery.
Almost a petal that houses and protects without closing itself off. The Martha armchair, designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau, manages to combine comfort and lightness. Soft forms and fine materials for an airy, relaxed elegance. The Martha rocking chair is its most playful and informal version: the rocking base in solid ash, an authentic masterpiece of wood craftsmanship, creates a comfortable and fun rocking chair. The design of the Martha armchair is based on the meeting of the two main elements of the frame, both in molded rigid polyurethane. The seat and armrests form part of a single sinuous open profile, the two extremities projecting towards the exterior. The curved and slightly padded backrest appears to float in the air but is actually fixed to the frame with a hidden system. The entire product is supported by a triangular-section wooden easel structure. The seat’s slight incline towards the back ensures optimal comfort and emphasizes the armchair’s dynamic design. The four-legged base is made from solid ash available with a wenge or Moka finish. The Martha rocking chair is also supported by a curved solid ash base in the same finishes. The color effects and material combinations underline the fluidity and lightness of Martha. The outside of the frame is upholstered with a rich backrest of Saddle Extra Leather while the inside can be covered in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. The combination of the two materials is emphasized by the elegant visible contrast stitching carried out by hand. A soft seat cushion with a removable cover in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric completes the product. The Martha armchair is 100% FSC® certified for all upholstery combinations that involve the use of Pelle Frau® leather and fabric not containing viscose deriving from forests.
Officially called “model 904” but known, since 1984, like Vanity Fair, over time this seat has become the emblem of Poltrona Frau. It is thought that the project, which first went into production in 1930, was developed on the basis of designs that Renzo Frau left his wife, Savina. The deliberately volumetric configuration of the Vanity Fair armchair saw it become one of the universal icons of Italian design. Also available in a “baby” version, exactly two-thirds the size of the original, Vanity Fair is also a comfortable pouf. The supporting structure of the Vanity Fair armchair is made from solid seasoned beech. The padding uses both hand-shaped vegetable horsehair and rubberized horsehair and the seat cushion is in goose down. The seat, backrest, and armrest spring system consist of hand-tied steel biconical springs attached to jute belts. A row of leather-covered pins refines the back and sides of the armchair. Numbered edition series with a 24kt gold-plated label.
The DU 55 armchair is a very sculptural piece that recalls a glorious period of Italian design when formal inhibition was banned. Made with leather and Chromed polish feet with chromed caps.
DUO Small Armchair is an upholstered seat with sinuous and enveloping lines. Everything about this armchair communicates a sense of softness and, at the same time, dynamism: the armchair's two cozy "ears" give it momentum laterally. The convex seat interacts with the slight concavity of the backrest, creating movement in the volumes. The rich padding adds an extra level of comfort and invites relaxation and conversation.
An offering for the bedroom that recalls the voluptuous lightness of the quilting that adorns a double-bed headrest. Entirely upholstered in fabric, with two trapezoidal-shaped gunmetal feet that run along the entire width of the bed and are set back from the footboard.
