This is a unicorn. It is well constructed and looks exactly like photos. I bought it for the unique size. Using it as a sideboard in dining room. The reason for 3 stars are the drawers. They are not full size drawers. About 10 inches. I'm using it for linen storage and even for that it is suspect. If you are looking for a very pretty, unusual chest-check. This is a quality piece. It came assembled except for the shelves. The product description should reflect that but doesn't. Wood feels solid. The back may possibly be mdf but is a single piece that blends and shows no screws or nails. The blue seems more of an admiral blue-cross between navy and royal-vs. a true navy blue. It was well-packaged so I was surprised there was damage to the back right corner. I suspect this was a quality check issue before packaging as it was so well packed I can't see how it could have happened during shipping. The delivery service was excellent. Perigold customer service was excellent. I was able to reach customer service to determine if there was resolution to the damage or to not accept delivery. I kept the piece because it was going in a space where the damage wouldn't be noticed as long as I put decor to hide it. This combined with the resolution is why I accepted delivery. Stately and stunning, the two-tone Charleston Display Cabinet is inspired by the tropical craftsmanship of the West Indies and classic British and Dutch Colonial design. Intricately-carved botanical motif end posts and the tops and sides of the case are finished in the vibrant Black Cherry, while the interior and drawer fronts are finished in Maraschino Cherry using natural grain Cherry Veneers. There are handpainted leaf accents on the corners of the doors, decorative bar pulls and ring pulls in an antique bronze color. This functional piece has two full-length tempered glass doors, 3 self-closing drawers inside, two adjustable wood-framed glass shelves with plate grooves, one pullout work surface and two puck lights in the top with a 3-intensity touch switch located on the right-side back panel.
