As the wife of a Marine Corps officer, she traveled and lived in many interesting and beautiful locations which have been inspirations for her paintings. She now lives in San Diego, California where she is active in several art organizations. “My art is a visual and tactile response to the awe and wonder I find in the natural world. Eden Edwards was born and raised in Southern California and has had an affinity for art her entire life. From as early as Kindergarten, she has loved creating artwork for all to enjoy. Her favorite childhood memory is creating rainbow designs for all of her classmates and enjoying their appreciation for her work. Her favorite medium to work in is oils but recently has liked working in watercolor and gouache. Her inspiration in life and art is the human body and nature and she is passionate about learning new things, exploring nature and music. Her artistic influences have been Frida Kahlo, Alice Neel, and Georgia O’Keefe. When asked what her artist statement was she simply replied, “May that which we put on our walls remind us of the beauty within ourselves and in the world”.
