The quality is there with this table you won't be disappointed but be prepared for the finish to be much darker than it appears in the photo. It doesn't have the depth and aged finish - it reads more like an espresso lacquered finish. The Drum coffee table is beautiful, but has one drawback. The photo on line shows a black colored top of table and it is certainly not black or close to black. In reality it is a mixture of greens, reds, and golds in acid-like wash. I would have preferred what I believed would be black or a more subtle color on top. I searched high & low for just the right table to put in my new home. Since I have dark wood built-in cabinets on either side of the fireplace, I didn’t want anything wood. I saw several tables on several sites but this one stole my heart. Perfect color, perfect size (albeit, rather heavy!) and just the right style. It looks exactly like the pictures and top quality. This table is really beautiful and I love that it’s both large but at the same time open at the same time open at the bottom as I am in love with my rug and didn’t want to cover a huge area of it in the middle of the room. The only issue, which I had in another piece of furniture I ordered, is the delivery company - they broke a large console I ordered and I suspect they are who chipped the stone top of this table. Because it’s a small chip that’s hard to see I accept a 10 credit from Perigold to keep it and used it to buy another item. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and the service.. Jenny.
