The Zyphyrine Table Lamp has a striking fluidity that stems from the flowing shape of the body that is made of blown glass. There are gold speckles sprinkled throughout the material, which adds a subtle textural feel to the clear lamp. The antique brass on the metal base and hardware draw out the flecks in the glass, as does the finial in the same finish. Charming lamp, heavy and well made. I have used a 25W chandelier bulb, and it cast plenty of light. My only quibble is that the base isn’t finished as well as it should be for the price, and I have to glue a piece of hard plastic and felt to the bottom to keep it from scratching the table.
