A lush, large-scale, wide-width floral inspired by the quintessential tree of life patterns in traditional palampores. Based on a 1920s document in our archives. Also available as a fabric.
Gorgeous, high quality wall paper. The blossoms are huge and really stand out. I had a hard time deciding between the redpink or bluegreen colorscapes…both are equally fantastic!! I went with the blue green since my floor is white marble and the blue green background color is whiter than the red pink, which has more of a beige background. I have no regrets!. Lisa. The House of Scalamandre
Based on an early 18th-century French document, Chinoise Exotique is a grand design depicting Chinese figures hunting exotic Indian animals. This pattern is a classic example of the kinds of chinoiserie patterns developed for export to the European market in the early 1700s. These fabrics became so popular that France passed a law banning them from sale out of fear that they would collapse the French textile market.

I can’t speak to the installation as it was installed for me as part of our new build. However I did pick it out and it is everything I hoped it would be for our dining room. I think of wallpaper as art and this is stunning. It’s playful but sophisticated and brings me joy when I pass by the room. I’m so pleased with this selection.. Carol. Originally introduced in 1999 as a hand-printed fabric that continues to sell today, Edwin’s Covey features a family of quails enjoying a quiet moment amidst a verdant patch of land. Delicate line work lends depth to the feathers and leaves, while the pattern’s half-drop layout creates a gentle rhythm. Embedded in the name of the design is a nugget of company history: “Edwin” refers to Edwin Bitter, husband of Adrianna Bitter, daughter of Franco and Flora Scalamandré.
For the price, this fabric should have been cut to be able to get two designs in center of the yard; instead partial design was on edges in order to get two partial designs - expert should have kept that in mind - looked like a remnant piece. Gaylene. Eagan, MN. 2021-08-15 06:41:55
