Lladro
Jazz Saxophonist is an original piece, both for its theme and its decoration. This saxophonist is a member of a jazz band, stylishly dressed for the performance. With a glossy porcelain finish, he is decorated in dark colors that highlight the black of the shirt, the shoes, and the trim of the hat. The trumpet is decorated with a glossy golden luster. The figure rests on a cube decorated in red enamels.

Leaning into the microphone, the vocalists moves to the beat. This rock band has gone professional. Armando Ramírez crafts the musicians from an amazing assortment of recycled metal and automobile parts. Sheet metal scraps, spark plugs, screws and wire all find a new life in this unique sculpture. The artisan does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
Lladró has taken inspiration from the opening music to the legendary musical Chicago, by Bob Fosse, to create one of the most vibrant pieces in the catalog. A sculpture decorated in the most vibrant colors of the palette: intense blacks, chic purples, sophisticated makeup, and the reddish hue of the dancer's hair, giving it a bold look. But if anything truly embodies this dance form, it's the movements of the dancers: the torso, legs, arms, hands, and shoulders; the whole body conveys emotion in a piece that invites us to get up on the dance floor.
