Frame It All playground borders were created by a landscape designer to be an easy, secure, and cost-effective way to contain wood and rubber safety surfacing under your child’s play area. We’ve designed our curved borders to flow naturally and gracefully tie into your existing landscape. Unlike heavy wood ties that splinter (and are labor intensive), Frame It All composite boards and snap-lock brackets go together with ease. Our borders are made from sustainably sourced wood fibers and food-grade HDPE recycled plastic, so your children are safe from splinters and hazardous chemicals. Each kit contains curved profile boards and snap-lock anchors and stacking brackets. Snap-lock brackets simply slide and snap in place. Each board measures 5.5 inches in height. Straight kits are also available and can be used interchangeably with curved kits to create natural borders that integrate with your landscape. Did you know? Did you know? When calculating the dimensions of your playground border, a good rule of thumb is to allow 2X the height of your swing set in front and behind the swing, and six feet on either side of the swing set. For example, if your swing set is 7 feet high, you would want 14 feet of safety surface in front of and behind the swing, for a total depth of 28 feet. Designs with curved boards can feel both formal and free-spirited. Traditional styles influenced by Celtic knots and Mariners Compass can be achieved using curved (or a combination of curved and straight) boards. Curvy paths and rounded gardens feel relaxing and charming. The open-channel design of our raised garden bed boards insulates the soil in your raised garden bed. Soil stays warmer in the early Spring and Fall, and cooler in the Summer. Regulated soil temperature allows you to grow earlier and longer into the season, and assists plants in growing stronger and healthier - with more yield. Boards are 44.5 inches long, creating a 48-inch span, (once stacking or anchor brackets are attached) and 5.5 inches high. Boards are 2 inches thick providing even more insulation than our 1-inch thick boards. Classic Sienna curved composite boards feature textural wood-grain finish that blends seamlessly into any environment, and will maintain its natural look and feel for many years. When creating your own designs, keep in mind you may need some specialized accessories. When creating straight runs of boards that don’t connect in a loop, you may want to purchase 2” finishing sleeves to create a professional finish.
