The chests are simple and sleek. The finish is rough, which I like, but it surprised me because they looked smooth online. The gray is lighter than expected; however, they are gorgeous. These were two beautiful chests, but the color was much darker than what appeared in the pictures. I would’ve loved to have used them in another room, but they didn’t fit in the living room where we purchased them to use, and when I considered placing them in another room, the budget they were just priced over the budget that I had for the out of the room so I called customer service and they were very pleasant very efficient and very professional. I cannot say enough nice things about Perigold. I have been impressed with them through several orders now and will continue to use Perigold because they have mastered customer service, which is huge.
