Based on the popularity of our Meteor Bowls, we have created two new sizes and a new color. The original of this grand statement piece was created by a Portuguese artist whose work first caught our designers' eyes at an art fair in Portugal. It took years of collaboration to arrive at this design that can be consistently produced. Multiple pieces are cast, bound together, and fired. Then it receives a reactive glaze and is fired a second time. There is a tremendous amount of artisan work that goes into every piece. Entire rooms could be designed around this beautiful and functional sculpture.

Overall this is a very nice rug- soft, well-made, beautiful sculpting. My only disappointment are the colors- they're much more muted than they looked in the picture. Absolutely beautiful and it arrived early!!! I love that it has beautiful warm tones. Do yourself a favor and order a good rug pad at the same time. The only issue I have is, there is a metal tag on the corner that I have no idea how to get off without damaging the rug. Update So I have had the rug now for a few months and it is still beautiful but it continues to shed HORRIBLY. Even though I vacuum it often, anything that touches it is ruined, and has to be washed immediately. It’s quite frustrating because my daughter loves to sit on the floor.
