Artist Lisa Tear was born in Los Angeles, CA, and lived in Arizona from her early teens to college age. She graduated from the University of CA, Irvine, Cum Laude, with a double major in art and psychology. Lisa moved to San Diego in 1980. She has been active in art and painting her entire life. Working in the commercial interior design business for over 25 years, she continued to paint in her spare time while raising her two boys. Now, Lisa is a full-time artist, using her unique process of layering thin acrylic glazes to create colors and textures on canvas, wood, and metal. Much of her inspiration comes from her love of nature and Lisa gets joy by bringing her creations to enhance people’s lives.
