Beautiful! Very solid, heavy, real mahogany wood. The top is a beautiful solid piece of mahogany with VERY subtle grain. (I had been worried about the top because the pictures online didn’t show the detail and it almost looked plastic.) It has had a very smooth sand so no rough spots or spots where grain could catch cloth. The bottom brass is a great tone, matches my other honey goldantique bronze finished accessories.
