After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1998, Blakely Bering put her studies in costume and set design to direct use by working in opera design and television production around the United States, before returning to her home of Texas. Transitioning from large-scale design to fine art was seamless and natural for her. Painting figurative abstractions and “Blooms” at first, Blakely’s art evolved into pure abstraction. Experimenting with techniques, mediums, and styles; the “Oil slick” developed in 2006, is recognized as Blakely’s classic style. Reflecting on her theatrical sense, the artwork is powerful from thirty feet away. Inspired by her love of cooking, Blakely combines oils, powdered pigments, crushed metals, and secret ingredients, from scratch, to create her own paint mixtures. Her work is known not only for its beauty and sense of frozen movement but for its sustained ability over time.
The artist was born in Romania; a country known for its rich cultural heritage and great natural beauty. At the age of 22, she moved to the United States where she expanded her horizons and grew as an artist. She has studied Fine arts since she was a child and currently holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of NH. Elena believes “Art defines our humanity, freedom, and individuality. It is a way to articulate abstract thought and separates us from other life forms. Art is incredibly therapeutic for me, and foremost a strong passion. It’s not something I think about, but rather, something I feel.” Elena Carlie finds inspiration everywhere. She tries to discover new ways of interpretation and sees this as an awareness formula to remain fresh. It is a way of having fun while doing something that she loves. “To me, anything that can be manipulated can become an art medium.” “I love to work with watercolor paint, oil paint, acrylic paint, pencil, pen, and ink. However, the digital tools available today are pushing the limits of creativity and I find myself very involved with it.”

Emma Brooks was born in Brooklyn, New York to a liberal family that encouraged her artistic abilities from a young age. Growing up in busy city life, Emma became inspired by the various cultures and lifestyles she encountered in the city. With a broad interest in design and modern art, Emma was accepted to the Rhode Island School of design in providence, Rhode Island. In her studies in providence, she was able to admire a slower lifestyle than the hustle and bustle of life in New York. Brooks drew inspiration from her professors and the long-time interest she retained for aesthetics and unique beauty. Emma currently resides in downtown Los Angeles with her dog, Jackson. She enjoys the creative expression that Los Angeles has to offer, and is always seeking new artistic awakenings to portray in her artwork.
Simon Caldwell was born in Norfolk, England in 1970. Simon Completed his degree in Fine Art/Museum Studies in 1992. A Professional Artist since 1999, Simon takes inspiration from the weathered walls of European cities, Abstract expressionists, graphic design & aerial photography amongst many other things. Simon enjoys Ornithology, aviation, English football, sketching outdoors, playing guitar,(rather simply), and time with his family.

Beverly fuller was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles. As a young girl, she was fascinated with the vast diversity of the world around her. She conveyed that fascination with art and was praised by her teachers as a talented artist. She went on to receive a bachelor of arts degree from Whittier College and a master of arts from California state university, Los Angeles. After completing her education, Beverly fuller spent the next year traveling all across the united states, soaking up inspiration that launched her into a creative journey of becoming a painter. Currently, she resides in northern California with her husband and two daughters. Every other month, Beverly travels back down to her hometown of Los Angeles to immerse herself in the artistic community and to find her next muse.
