An abstract design yet grounded with an elemental quality, Kisumu has been designed on the horizontal scale in fabric with a flame stitch technique, which has a delicate foil texture printed on top for added depth and luxury. The fabric has a ribbed definition and delights in color, inspired by tribal jewelry. Where the wallpaper of the same name is more monochromatic, Serengeti as a fabric, explores the vibrancy of the vast African landscape for an energized yet thoughtful design.
Unique to its fabric, Malindi is a woven jacquard in monochromatic colorways. Thoughtfully placed varieties of palm designs make for a tropical and exuberant design that mellows on its natural background. Luscious plant life takes the lead here in this contemporary, nature-inspired design.

A classic zebra pattern is revealed with added depth and charm, light and dark balance perfectly in this textured jacquard. Majestic and harmonious, the name Manda refers to an island off the Lamu archipelago of Kenya. Here, the wild comes together with the richness of a jacquard creating a luxurious fabric to design with.
The House of Scalamandre
Originally introduced in 1999 as a hand-printed fabric that continues to sell today, Edwin’s Covey features a family of quails enjoying a quiet moment amidst a verdant patch of land. Delicate line work lends depth to the feathers and leaves, while the pattern’s half-drop layout creates a gentle rhythm. Embedded in the name of the design is a nugget of company history: “Edwin” refers to Edwin Bitter, husband of Adrianna Bitter, daughter of Franco and Flora Scalamandré.
For the price, this fabric should have been cut to be able to get two designs in center of the yard; instead partial design was on edges in order to get two partial designs - expert should have kept that in mind - looked like a remnant piece. Gaylene. Eagan, MN. 2021-08-15 06:41:55

Palampores, or tree-of-life patterns, have our origins in India, where the exotic designs were hand-painted and mordant dyed, and exported to Europe and England for use as elaborate bed hangings and curtains. Scalamandré’s timeless tree-of-life print, Pondicherry, is reinterpreted in a palette of hues designed for today’s classic interior and translated on fabric. The grand scale of the exotic tree is softened with finely detailed flowers and foliage and is accented with the small birds and animals that are typical of this historic design. The vertically branching print is perfect for floor-length curtain panels, or as upholstery for roomy club and wing chairs.
