This side table meets the expectations of its arboreal companions on a smaller scale. Narrow wood slats wrap upwards from the sides of this planked drum-style table. Delivery went smoothly, on time. Set up and take away of packing for the white glove service was definitely worth the extra charge. If you can ever manager, it would be nice to know that all the packing materials, or at least some of them, would be recycled instead of just trashed. I kept what I thought I could reuse and recycle myself. It is beautiful. It fits our space perfectly and gives me much-needed extra storage. I do love it. After living with it over the weekend, I have these comments: 1. There is a definite odor of offgassing. Not unpleasant, but definitely there. 2. The surface is fragile. At this price, I would’ve expected a much sturdier finish. I’m going to have to order a glass top, which will be a bit more complicated due to the curved shape of the chest. 3. Either I didn’t notice when I did the initial inspection after delivery or I managed to chip one of the drawers while I was putting things away. I was able to repair the chip with some of my paints. But for barely being used the surface should not have chipped! 4. Nowhere in the description did it say that the drawers did not extend fully. This isn’t a dealbreaker, just a surprise that makes using the chest slightly annoying. Not a dealbreaker in anyway. This should’ve been told in the description. Or perhaps it was and I missed this information on the website. Overall I am very happy with it. It is a beautiful piece. The curves are lovely, the drawer poles are great. It’s a sweet, sweet piece and I’m happy I found it. If these reviews are to be worth anything for furtive Perigold customers, I did want to be truthful on the upside, and the not-so-up-side.. Debra.
