The Hera Secretary Desk keeps you organized and clutter out of sight by contrasting a serene almond-white finish with maple and figured maple veneers on the drop-down front and drawer fronts. The drop-front writing surface opens to reveal 6 small drawers and one adjustable wood shelf. There’s a cutout in the back panel for wire management and two bottom drawers underneath the drop-front area. The top drawer has a cream-colored removable felt-lined tray, and the bottom drawer has a lock and two compartments. The right compartment has hanging file storage. The left compartment has a removable tray.

As described No where in any on line desciption or pictures could I figure out where or how the electrical cord went from the drawer to the ground.... drops out the back of the drawer dead center to the ground. This is a beautiful writing desk. Well built, good design, and elegant. I chose the pecan wood because the finish is rich and satiny. It was a hard decision because the toffee finish is also beautiful, like sunshine. There are so many superior features, like the leather bound writing top, the secret compartment, the fold-down keyboard, and the hanging file hardware. This desk has everything I need to organize my office. While I have it up against a window, you could have it facing into the room because it is is beautifully finished on all sides. The delivery was quick and I paid to have it assembled, although it was only the legs that needed to be attached. I probably could have done that myself, but it was quite heavy to pick up. I was thankful for the full delivery. Even with the additional delivery charge I saved a substantial amount over the "sale" price at the brick and mortar stores.
