Beautiful lights, I replaced other lights in my kitchen as you can see from one of the photos. They are stunning in person and are hand-blown glass so very attractive. Great price. They were packaged really well which was another bonus! Lastly, they give off a lot of light and you can use a dimmer on them. Great purchase. The Fluo lamp designed by Arturo Álvarez is part of a collection of pendant luminaires created from veils of painted galvanized steel mesh that are gracefully joined around a single point of light. A light form that reproduces the illusion of a vaporous fabric, like a semi-transparent tulle that reveals and conceals at the same time, playing with the intuition of the observer. The lightness of this handmade design, which won a Good Design Award in 2009, is enhanced in the larger compositions of the collection.
Arturo Álvarez introduces steel thread into his repertoire of materials with the design of this collection. Wrapping it around itself, he creates spheres that he later joins into ethereal, almost transparent volumes, giving this pendant lamp a subtle beauty. Its white finish accentuates the delicacy of a piece generated by hand from a material as cold as steel, which now seems to bloom full of life.
Seed Design
Inspired by the artistry of fine jewelry, the PaoPao collection is available in three colorways, and multiple configurations. Each glass sphere of PaoPao pendant P1 is mouth-blown and vacuum plated to create a unique layered effect. The glass sphere visually changes as the light transitions between on and off mode. When the light is off, one can appreciate the simplistic beauty of the glass surface and its reflective nature. When the fixture is on, each pendant glows alluringly, allowing the light to reflect within the glass sphere. The PaoPao pendant P1 utilizes high quality integrated LED design, that offers color rendering of CRI 95, as well as a dimmable function.
