I ordered this rug despite the fact that it had no reviews, which usually give some information about the product besides description information. I love the look of this rug. It's made with thick organic looking wool...variations in color give it a very natural look..it is overall navy and dark. I did find some natural material that was woven in the rug. I assumed it was from the very thick wool that was used...I spent time removing the material...possible vegetation in the sheep's wool? I have read reviews from other similar rugs which state similar issues so I assume if you want natural, nubby wool rugs, that's what you'll get. It's very soft with the exception of that material, which can be felt walking barefooted over it...but can be removed. It is not backed as stated in the description. It's shipped on a heavy cardboard roll which made it easy to place over a rug pad and unroll. I purchased the 9 x 12 size which worked well in my space. The gray on the photo that I attached is my felt rug pad which I trimmed afterwards. You cannot use a vacuum with beater bar which is stated. It would be best to use a vacuum where a lower suction could be used. I have been using a hose attachment so that I can adjust suction. I'm pleased with the rug overall... Nice rug with very soft wool pile. However, be aware that product description is in error on size. This is supposed to be an 8 x 10 rug.
