Update: I changed this review to one star. Maitland Smith apparently won’t provide the label of authenticity, and Perigold cs doesn’t seem bothered. If you’re a MS collector, beware. The figurine itself is lovely. However, it came without the signature Maitland Smith label of authenticity. I've tried to reach out to Perigold to ask about this but there's been no response. Inspired by our jaunts overseas were oil drums in varying stages of deterioration greeted us at every turn, we created our own replicas of the discs carved from the tops (or bottoms) as edgy decorative elements. Though the patina we achieved with our gold leaf finish may convince you that these are made of metal, the Gold Cast Oil Drum Wall Discs, which are packaged as a set of four, are made of composite that our artisans made to look jagged like real aging metal would.
