This is a nice piece, not super high quality. The metal, which sure doesn't seem like cast iron, is pretty thin. We bought all three sizes and found this one a bit too large to fit in with our decor. This product design was inspired by a wooden fret detail found in the crown of a tall dresser in the Williamsburg Museum collection. The shape of the fret was reinterpreted in hand-forged iron. The Iron has a rich antique nickel finish. The metal back is the perfect balance for the enormous hand-blown hurricane.

The honeycomb pattern is created by the glass artisan blowing air into the piece as it is being made. The overall height varies slightly due to the uniquely finished hand-rolled edge. Because this piece is handmade, the bottom may not always be flat. We recommend using a material such as sand, gravel, or glass stones in the base to level the candle is used as a hurricane.

Polished lead crystal cubes are stacked in a stair step to create over-scale graceful candleholders. Each candle holder is wrapped in a black fabric bag and packed in a polished white gift box. Please do not place them in direct sunlight, crystal can magnify the light of the sun and potentially cause a fire hazard.
