Artist Lisa Tear was born in Los Angeles, CA, and lived in Arizona from her early teens to college age. She graduated from the University of CA, Irvine, Cum Laude, with a double major in art and psychology. Lisa moved to San Diego in 1980. She has been active in art and painting her entire life. Working in the commercial interior design business for over 25 years, she continued to paint in her spare time while raising her two boys. I was born in the Foothills of California, a small town called Tuolumne, fairly close to Yosemite National Park. I studied textile design and oil painting. I studied at a local community college back home and at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Art has a lot of meaning for me.
