Morris & Co.
Daisy was the first wallpaper to be produced by Morris & Co. and was inspired by medieval illustrations. Morris created this design after embroidering daisy motifs on wallhangings for the Red House. This version retains the naively drawn daisies and ranunculuses of the wallpaper but has been simplified by the removal of background tufts of grass and is available in the original colorways.
It’s 1864 and our dainty daisy-strewn design has just been created. Igniting the interest of tastemakers and London’s elite this was the first William Morris wallpaper ever to be sold. Originally inspired by the jewel colors of a c.1470 French wall hanging delicate sprigs have been translated with grace and ease into this charmingly simple wallpaper.

If you want to go bold but not too bold, this is a great paper. The colors are subtle but the print is big and bold. It's the perfect "happy medium" for those who want to make a statement with wallpaper but don't want to go "all in" with color. The background color is very close to Benjamin Moore 1570 Gray Wisp (a gray that leans somewhat like a sage green with slight hints of blue) and the large stems & florals are similar in color to Benjamin Moore's more neutral Edgecomb Gray. Perfect for my client who wants to make a statement in her powder room but still wants to stay within her home's calming neutral color scheme.. AMANDA. BIRMINGHAM, AL. 2022-06-08 19:57:52

I can’t speak to the installation as it was installed for me as part of our new build. However I did pick it out and it is everything I hoped it would be for our dining room. I think of wallpaper as art and this is stunning. It’s playful but sophisticated and brings me joy when I pass by the room. I’m so pleased with this selection.. Carol.
