David Erickson grew up emulating the works of the masters using rudimentary tools. David received his fine arts training while apprenticing under other painters and is primarily self-taught. He became an artist through sheer will, grit, and determination. "I enjoy layers of transparency and the unpredictable nature of water-based mediums". Eric explores themes of memory and place often through abstract and draws inspiration from the world around him, across a multitude of disciplines. David’s passions are drawing, painting, illustration, design, film, and photography. When David is not painting, his time is spent enjoying the outdoors with canine companions.

The Artist, D’Alessandro Leon, was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.
We received the piece while out of town and a neighbor brought it in. We love the painting, but are disappointed that there is a small chip on the outside of the top of the frame. The outside of the box does not look damaged, so they would not have noticed without taking the painting out of the box. It does not appear to be a shipping problem; it appears to be damaged before packing. We will hang it, since it is quite high, and we have waited quite a long time to receive it, but for over $600, I am very disappointed. I won’t be ordering from you again..
