Geoff is cotton velvet on one side, tacked with natural cotton ties, and reverses to natural a cotton/flax back, with a lofty filling. This quilt is inspired by traditions that cross oceans when quilts were quickly tied tacked to be prepared for winter weather. The velvet is an exqusite richly saturated teal color. It is beautiful ....I would feel comfortalbe using it for pillows or re-doing an small plush ottomans but would not feel comfortable for using it for very large re-upholstering projects such as a sofa.
