Artist Commentary: I am a colorist and abstract painter. A few years ago I decided to try my hand at mosaics. I've always enjoyed the medium and its tactile nature. The creative process is different to painting but still involves my interest in nature and exploring shapes and relationships of colors. This mosaic is a whimsical piece that has cactus flowers and fruit. Each piece of glass I have used has been hand cut by me from sheets of colored glass.
