We received the base of the table (Havana) which we had ordered, along with another base (Honey) which we had not ordered, on Jan. 31st. We sent the "Honey" base back with the driver. There was no glass top delivered. It is now Feb. 13th and we are still awaiting our glass top. It is our understanding that the glass top has been ordered and we don't know when to expect it. The hand-applied dry-brushing effect on the aluminum surface is just one of the notable details on the dining table. The cast top has a basket weave center, a braided perimeter, and what appears as sliced bamboo within a concentric circle. At the center is a removable monogrammed insert for an umbrella pass-through. The bottom of the base is designed with the umbrella base in mind. The stately pedestal base is attractive and is the ideal support, but is also designed to accommodate the umbrella stand. However, the removable monogram is attractive as the center of the top surface when choosing not to use an umbrella.
Pairing the custom basket weave pattern with the aluminum scoop arm and top handle provides a modern approach to relaxed traditional styling. The woven pattern has multiple shades complementary to the sophisticated rich walnut finish on the frame.
