Orrefors
It is a universal truth that opposites attract and create harmony. Hot and cold, hard and soft, black and white. You can´t have one without the other. When designer Lisa Hilland was asked to create a vase for Orrefors that was just as beautiful with or without flowers, she chose to contrast the exclusive crystal with metal. BLOOM is inspired by the organic shapes in nature, such as flowers and leaves. It is as perfect holding an exquisite bouquet as it is with a simple branch of ivy, but is also stunning in its own glory when the clear Orrefors crystal catches the light just right.

The Vintage Bloom collection evokes a sentimental interpretation of nature as inspired by Michael's love of old botanical prints. The mixed metals and delicate enamel finishes capture a sense of nostalgia for the eclectic glamour of the 1940s.
It is a universal truth that opposites attract and create harmony. Hot and cold, soft and hard, black and white. One needs the other to be whole. When the designer was asked to design a vase, something that would be equally beautiful without flowers, she chose to use metal to contrast with the softness of the crystal. This is inspired by the organic shapes of nature, by flowers and leaves. The new arrival to the collection this year is a tall vase for cut flowers, a vase that can also be used for dried flowers or a simple branch from the garden. Like the short vase, this vase is equally beautiful with a lush bouquet or a simple ivy clipping. The vases are also lovely standing on their own, with only the light dancing in the crystal glass.
Squeeze was born through creative interaction between Lena Bergström and the studio glassworkers. The result – is a stylish object with sensual movement and an almost dance-like effect. The series was originally launched in 1997 and received the Excellent Swedish Design award that year. This eagerly awaited classic is now back in our selection.
