The Vintage Patina square cocktail table draws inspiration from the era of American design when all furnishings were individual and made by hand. Planks of mahogany are hand-planed in a rippled craftsman fashion, then polished by warm hands that melt the French finishing wax into a silky surface. A deep, rich Molasses finish creates an authentic luster of age. A bottom shelf offers additional space, while square tapered legs add to the visual appeal of the piece.
The quality is there with this table you won't be disappointed but be prepared for the finish to be much darker than it appears in the photo. It doesn't have the depth and aged finish - it reads more like an espresso lacquered finish. I searched high & low for just the right table to put in my new home. Since I have dark wood built-in cabinets on either side of the fireplace, I didn’t want anything wood. And since I tend to move my coffee table around a lot, glass would get prints all over. My front door is iron and my floors are travertine so I knew an iron base with stone top would be perfect. I saw several tables on several sites but this one stole my heart. Perfect color, perfect size (albeit, rather heavy!) and just the right style. It looks exactly like the pictures and top quality.
