Artless GAX 16 is the newest member of the GAX family. A bench seemed like the most obvious iteration of this design. Two 16” by 16” polished stainless steel bases on top of a 2” leather top. Beauty always wins. Artless GAX is the most architectural and most structural of artless designs. It is a very simple solution to a very common problem, a table with no apron. By designing a table with just two elements, the base and the top. A 2” solid wood top, 2” tubular base, no cross members, and no other structural elements; the cleanest possible approach meant to last a lifetime. The GAX tables and benches are workhorses camouflaged as stallions, sturdy, strong, and nearly indestructible, yet of undeniable beauty and elegance. Each GAX piece is different, yet they all have an "Indestructible" wood top, which contrasts nicely with the reflective nature of the polished stainless steel base. The solid wood board top has an oil-rubbed hand finish, giving off a matte, deep luster while allowing a coaster-free living. By using 2” solid wood, for structural purposes, artless also create a recreational worktable that tolerates hot and cold objects. The GAX tabletop is composed of solid lumber similar to a butcher-block, but much more beautiful. The GAX base is made of marine-grade stainless steel, meticulously hand polished to a mirror finish, a complicated and laborious task, but well worth it. The GAX base is not your typical reflective metal base. Artless uses stainless steel as opposed to the ubiquitous chromed steel, as chrome is a cheap and environmentally damaging practice.
Artless SQG Tables are available in two sizes and in two kinds of wood; they all have the same height of 14". The wood choices are Black Walnut and White Oak, both of which are finished with an oil rub. Artless SQG18B is the larger of the two bases. The base dimensions are 30" long by 18" wide with a height of 14". Our standard glass for them is 42" X 30".

Artless Focal Tables push the 90-degree angle we love so much to new extremes. This asymmetric wood and glass coffee table has the extraordinary quality of being simple in its lines but fairly complex in its looks. Our focal tables were developed as a counterargument to the block-like solidity of our SQG coffee tables. The latter ones are grounded and rigid while the focals' have movement and seem on the verge of taking off.

Artless Untitled Solid Wood Sled Coffee Table is our largest rectangular-shaped table. The U3 covers a lot of real estates and it pairs ideally with our LRG Sectional. The U3 can tuck inside the U6.

The design never leaves out some of the Artless basics like 2" solid Walnut and complete comfort in the leather top. Artless X Stools come in three sizes yet operate under the same design principle. The X1 stool is 18" tall, the X2 counter height stool is 26", and finally the X3 is bar height at 30". The base is an 18" by 18" solid Walnut X. In profile, we can see a triangle rise up, and if viewed from the top we see the geometric circle of the seat.

Dramatic design, exquisite craftsmanship, excellent quality, packed and protected for delivery across the country from California to west Florida that resounded with pride of product and arrived in impeccable condition. Perigold should have offered purchasers of this designer’s product the option of white glove delivery. The delivery was estimated to arrive at the end of the first week of October. That worked perfectly as we knew we knew we would be out of state on a business trip until the last week of September. The chairs arrived a week early. While checking our personal email vs work email, we discovered the chairs were on our front porch via our security cameras via FedEx and Perigold emails. They arrived just before Hurricane Helene. Perigold did send an email that FedEx would be delivering the chairs five days prior that I did not see it. FedEx never sent an email about the upcoming delivery. Both had our cell phone yet we did not receive notification. These six gorgeous chairs are worth every penny, but not something we wanted sitting in 6 boxes on our uncovered front porch in Florida while in a very farther northern state. Fortunately we had a neighbor who we contacted and was able to move them inside to our foyer. Upon arriving home a week later, we unpacked the chairs. We are in our late 60’s and 70’s. The chairs were individually shipped in boxes about 40” x 30” x 30”. As previously mentioned, the chairs were packed impeccably, which can be read as a LOT of packing material. All good. But, a LOT of work! And a lot of disposal. We have received other deliveries from Perigold that included the shipping agent removing packing material and delivering items on an approved delivery schedule. The Gax XW table offers a parallel approach to our Gax collection, taking the Gax X base as a departure point, exchanging the stainless steel base for walnut, and adding a glass top. We’ve created a more intimate and casual table, best suited for smaller spaces.

The artless ars xl table is an updated and expanded version of our ars base. This chunkier base is ideally suited for our ars 36”, 42”, and 48” diameter solid wood tops. The proportions of the base give the table some heft and appeal, which we did not anticipate when designing it. We are quite smitten by this design.

Artless ARS stools are quickly becoming a very diverse and growing family. Available in a variety of material tops and colorful bottoms, their undeniable versatility is being undermined by their striking personality. The top of the base is a closed hexagon, which is torqued and its sides erased as it reaches the floor. This simple, yet powerful form is capped by the contrast of the seat or tabletop, which brings purpose and meaning to it all. The Ars bases are made of solid steel, which is blackened, powder-coated, or dipped in copper, while the tops are available as leather seats, or in wood as stools or end tables.
