I’m David Keochkerian, I’m 39 and I live in Amiens, Somme, France. I have a Ph.D. in human physiology and I work in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. I have been practicing photography for 5 years now, although I fell into the cauldron when I was a child: my dad is a retired photographer. So here’s how I grew up, with the smell of chemicals, the shutter snap, or the purr of his roller transport print processor… Photography has become a passion for only two years. I then felt the need to create, to express myself. I like to capture the fleeting, the subtle, the beautiful, the rare, the spectacular, the staggering… to reveal how the daily and the ordinary can be filled with enthusiasm. My work is very heterogeneous. I use and associate many photographic techniques, image renditions, and different themes. What’s common is maybe the visual rendition: I like sharp contrasts and dense outcomes.
The artist, David Brown, studied and received his Fine Arts training at California State University of Long Beach and graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting in 2018. As a child, he watched his older brother draw and recalls wanting to draw just like him when he grew up. David currently lives in Long Beach, California, and has been lucky to show his work in multiple group shows and a few solo shows, mostly based in the Los Angeles area. His traditional work includes oil, charcoal, and graphite. He is strongly influenced by Renaissance, Baroque, and a lot of today’s contemporary work. David’s work is predominately focused on the human figure. “People are my inspiration. I love learning people’s stories and try to capture the sitter’s narrative through my drawings/ paintings. I love drawing people from life, I feel that my work focuses on the relationship between artist and model”. His art is his one true passion and he believes that, “artists are super sensitive and emotional human beings, our work is a physical representation of our thoughts and emotions, a diary that we choose to share with the world”.

Beautiful, just as described. The frame is a natural wood color which will pop against my navy wall.. Melinda. Houston, TX. 2022-05-07 20:55:19

Celestial Visions - From a whimsical map of the Zodiac to a photorealistic triptych of Saturn, the pieces in Celestial Visions span from a time of curiosity to discovery. “I’m fascinated by the intersection of science and art. As a Gemini, I am a self-described seeker of knowledge—and I’ll add beauty to that!” David says of the highly personal collection. “I can see using this collection anywhere from a boy’s room to a sophisticated library, where the exotic, colorful Zodiac star charts hang alongside the dramatic planetary photographs.”
