The piece itself is esthetically appealing but the advertised “touch lamp dimmer” and electrical cords are not useful. First the item does not come with instructions for use, had to email the manufacturer and wait two weeks to receive a response. When used with. wall switch turns off and dims doesn’t turn back on. The pieces are a little lighter than they appeared in the online photos but it still worked for me. I’m always nervous to order something with a veneer finish sight unseen but this one delivered. The veneer is thick enough that there is texture you can feel in the burl grain. The construction seems to be solid and high quality. Really love these nightstands! There are no visible drawer slides (slides are on bottom of drawers and made of wood) which is really nice and makes them look of much higher quality than those cheap metal drawer slides on the drawer sides that so many mass produced pieces have.
