Rug & Kilim
This 3x22 abstract runner represents a new line in 's Homage Collection called the "Dots" design. Hand-knotted in wool, this series explores a bold take on the marriage of depth, color variation, and distressed texture. Further on the Design: Originally pioneered by Lead Designer Nikita Nagpal, this rug recaptures the concept of an 'abstract' rug through more subdued elements. The idea was to create dual sense of movement in the same rug that don't "compete" so much as redefine how movement can be enjoyed in an extra-long runner. Keen eyes will admire the shifting dark blues, forest greens, and ice blues that achieve that unique, brilliant modern sense of movement and depth that sits gorgeous in this shabby elegance texture. The construction is, furthermore, our inventive take on Rustic Modern design, and an easy-to-maintain, comfortable wash with approachable beauty. Custom Capable: Please note all custom orders are subject to a 3-day return policy upon receipt of the CAD, at which point a full refund may be honored. Yarn samples can be made available during the process on loom as well, subject to the 3-day window without prior approval of extension. All custom sales following the approved CAD are final without these exceptions. Further on the Artist: A neo-New Yorker from New Delhi, India, Surface Designer Nikita Nagpal serves R&K in leading both our in-house art department and our remote design department in India, utilizing an extensive background and an equally impressive passion for the industry. An honors bachelor of arts in Fashion Design with an MFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design, 2019 marked Nikita as the recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for Design Concepts in Material Innovation, the IDA Design Awards, Gold, and a published Finalist in the Dorothy Waxman Textile Design Prize.
